CLINT CULBERTSON

Clint was the head coach at MCC-Longview for eleven years. In his first year as a collegiate head coach, he helped lead the Lakers to the 2007 DII National Championship. Culbertson would receive the NJCAA DII Coach of the Year as well as the ABCA DII Coach of the Year awards. It was only the second time in school history that the Longview baseball program had made the World Series. The Lakers set a school record for wins going 41-18. The Lakers would return to the World Series in 2008 and finish 5th. During his tenure for the Lakers his teams won 10 Regional Champsionships. He helped 88 players to baseball scholarships at four-year institutions. He has had two First Team, three Second Team and one Third Team All-Americans. Two players (Drew Gray 2007 & Brandon Dulin 2013) were drafted by MLB while at Longview. Three other players were drafted after their time at Longview. He took over Athletic Director duties in 2010 and was named Physical Education Director in 2013.
Culbertson began his college coaching career in 1999 with a four-year stint at the University of Central Missouri under current Kansas State head coach, Brad Hill. As pitching coach for the Mules, he helped lead the team to an impressive four consecutive 50-win seasons and four World Series appearances; finishing fifth, second, third, and ultimately winning the National Championship in 2003. Under Culbertson's direction, his pitchers broke the UCM team strikeout record each of his four years and the MIAA conference record in 2003, led the MIAA in team ERA's each year, finished 7th in team ERA in 2003 and 10th in 2001 nationally in Division II, and had the four best ERA's during Coach Hill's tenure at UCM. Eight pitchers under Culbertson's tutelage went on to play professional baseball.
While at Central, Culbertson coached for two summers in the Ban Johnson League for the Kansas City Vipers. As head coach, he lead the Vipers to their first ever division title.

He has coached for Regal Plastics for 12 years, winning the league in 2025.
From UCM, Clint went on to the University of Arkansas-Little Rock as pitching coach. As recruiting coordinator, his 2004 recruiting class was nationally recognized by Collegiate Baseball Magazine. Four of Culbertson's pitchers continued on to the professional level.
Culbertson received his B.S. in Education at the University of Missouri in 1994, where he served as a student assistant for three years under American Baseball Coaches Association Hall of Fame coach Gene McArtor, former MU head coach Tim Jamieson and former Mississippi State University head coach John Cohen (now AD).
Clint earned his Masters in Sports Business and Athletic Administration at the University of Central Missouri in 2003. His thesis work, on the effect of weights in pitching recovery, began his interest in designing conditioning programs specifically for the needs of the baseball player.

Culbertson started School of Hardball to share his love of the game and his years of experience in the coaching world with players of all ages. He starts his 13th year at School of Hardball and has entered the world of competition baseball with his

Silverbacks teams.

TAYLOR FOSS

Coach Foss played collegiate baseball at Baker University, where he primarily competed at third base and first base. During his freshman season, Baker captured the conference tournament championship, and in his final year the program recorded its most wins in a single season since 1993—marking one of the most successful stretches in program history.

Following his playing career, Coach Foss transitioned directly into coaching alongside Coach Clint Culbertson. Together, they coach in the Ban Johnson League with the Regal Plastics. In 2025, Regal won the league championship, with their players leading the league in nearly every major statistical category.

At the School of Hardball Silverbacks, Coach Foss specializes in hitting and fielding development. The program emphasizes consistent, high-tempo practices throughout the week while also providing numerous opportunities for one-on-one instruction through individual and group lessons. His approach focuses on building fundamentally sound, confident players who understand the game at a deeper level.

Coach Foss’s “why” for coaching is simple: to be the coach he always wanted—one who invests in players, teaches the game the right way, and helps athletes maximize their potential both on and off the field.

TREVOR McCRACKEN

Trevor grew up in Olathe and attended Olathe South High school where he began his baseball career as an outfielder and played some first base. He earned several awards coming out of senior year including: First-Team All-State, All Sunflower League, and additional scholarships for leadership capabilities. Foss earned a scholarship to play baseball at Baker University where he battled through injuries eventually earning a starting position his junior year (.429 BA) just before the COVID pandemic hit.

Since graduating he has coached several seasons of summer college leagues, provided individual/group lessons for School of Hardball, and coached for the Silverbacks.

McCracken has a B.S. in Molecular Biology, then attended grad school at UMKC earning an M.S. also in Molecular Biology. He is currently pursuing medical school in hopes of doing either Physical Medicine and Rehabilitaion/Sports Medicine or Oncology. He is certified in both personal training and nutrition, NASM certificates.
